With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leslie John Staufer of Watertown, South Dakota, who passed away on October 12, 2023 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lenore Staufer (Witte) and Anton Staufer; his brothers, David (Barbara) and James; and his grandsons, Jacob Staufer and Austin Ingalls.
He is survived by: his sister Betty Drobney (Larry); his wife Lucy; his children, Vonnie Carda (Kevin) of Yankton, SD, Mark Staufer of Sioux Falls, SD, Gail Polejewski (Jim) of Marshall, MN, Bruce Staufer of Watertown, SD and Stacey Peterson (Jason Gardener) of Garland, TX; his grandchildren, Sydney Schoening (Creighton), Aaron Polejewski, Karley VanMoer (Ryan), Kayla Polejewski, Drew Staufer, Faith Peterson, Zack, Mariah and Mackenzie Staufer; and his brother Rick.
