David Martin Haugland Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Martin Haugland of Watertown, South Dakota, who passed away on October 13, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Nels S. Haugland and Doris Haugland (Prahl); his wife Doris Hussong of John's Lutheran Church; his in-laws, Clifford and Alice Hussong; and his brother-in-law Marvin Moser.
He is survived by: his children, Dan (Diana Tobey) of South Berwick, ME and Denise Perry (Steve) of Presho, SD; his granddaughters, Abby Perry of Presho and Madison Haugland (Scott Smith) of Omaha, NE; his great grandchild Severin; his siblings, Maurice Haugland (Pam) of Lead, SD, Karen Poppe (Ken) of Hill City, SD and Essy Moser of Gillette, WY; his goddaughter Kim Poppe-Smart of Leavenworth, KS; and his brother-in-law Jerry Hussong (Rhonda Hanisch) of Branson, MO. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Rose Hill Cemetery Tree Project where a tree will be planted in his memory, the Clark Rotary, or the Clark Area Community Foundation.
