He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard J. Murphy and Myrtle M. Murphy (Harkin); and his brother Patrick Murphy of Lakewood, Colo.. He is survived by: his children, Todd (Katie Silver) of Portland, Ore., Tom (Rebecca) of Needham, Mass., Troy (Mary Beth Collery) of Plymouth, Mich. and Tonya Swenson (Scott) of Sioux Falls, S. D; his grandchildren, Erin, Jamie Murphy of Oregon, Jackson, Veronica Murphy of Massachusetts, Donovan, Graham Murphy of Michigan, Emma and Ethan Swenson of Sioux Falls; his wife Darlene Stee; his brothers, Dwayne Murphy (Karen) of Scottsdale and J. A. Murphy of Sioux Falls; and his nephew Chris Murphy of Clark, Colo..
