With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Allan John Kooima of Volga, South Dakota, born in Canton, South Dakota, who passed away on April 22, 2021 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Kooima and Grace Kooima (Hoff); and his siblings, Diane and Dale. He is survived by: his wife Bernita Vander Wal of Volga, SD; his children, Amy Christopherson (Scott) of Volga, SD, Heath Kooima (Michelle) of Lake Preston, SD and Clint Kooima (Kristi) of Volga, SD; his grandchildren, Carson, Brock Christopherson, Jaxon, Avery and Deacon Kooima; his stepgrandchildren, Carter and Ava Malone; his siblings, Deb Payton (Steve) of Chantilly, VA and Curt Kooima (Sandra) of Rock Valley, IA; and his sister-in-law Deb Kooima of Sioux Falls. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
