She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilson Cuny and Florence Cuny (Twiss); her husband Donald Alex Steele, Sr.; her son Donald Alex Steele, Jr.; her grandchildren, Gaylord "Tatanka" Catches, Natalia Bercier and Celeste Emery; her great grandchild Patrick Hernandez; and her siblings, Alvin Cuny, Alphonso Cuny, Orville Cuny, Robert Cuny, Willard Cuny, Pearl Anderson, Belva Gonzalez, Elizabeth Desersa (Cissy) and Louise Desersa.
She is survived by: her children, Carmen Bercier (Russ), Joe Steele, Donna Thaler (Joe), Patty White Eyes (Dode), Elaine Steele (Lyle), Minnie Steele (Marvin), Del Rae LaRoche (Kelly), Lisa Cummings (Marr), Tammy Steele, Janet Kelly (David) and Greg; her granddaughter Amber Steele of Rockyford, SD; her daughter-in-law Ruth Steele of Rockyford, SD; her nephew Wayne Amoitte of Rapid City, SD; and her siblings, Ray Cuny of Rapid City, SD and Pansy. She is also survived by 37 grand-children and 73 great grandchildren.
