He was predeceased by: his parents, Engelbert Schoenfelder and Julia Schoenfelder (Kaus); his former wife Linda Courtney; his siblings, Bob, Darlene and LeRoy; his son-in-law Dave Morgan; his stepgreat-granddaughter Bella Morgan; and his brother-in-law Gerald Maeschen.

He is survived by: his children, Tim Schoenfelder (Ann) of Knoxville, TN, Tina Lloyd (Ken) of Falcon, CO, Todd Schoenfelder (Linda) of Sioux Falls, SD, Tom Schoenfelder (Stephanie) of Knoxville, TN, Troy Schoenfelder (Katherine) of Meridianville, AL and Tami Morgan (Scott Dey) of Mitchell, SD; his siblings, Willard Schoenfelder (Kay) of Mitchell, SD and Shirley Albrecht (Jerry) of Parkston, SD; his sister-in-law Donna Schoenfelder of Mitchell, SD; and his stepchildren, Steven Uttecht (LaFey) of Rochester, MN, Jeff Uttecht (Lorinda) of Connell, WA, Kim Hunt (Pat) of St Peters, MO and Dennis Uttecht of Sioux Falls, SD.
