It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronnie Young (Hurley, South Dakota), born in Bassett, Nebraska, who passed away on August 12, 2019, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin Young and Evelyn Young (Alderman); his pet Max; and his siblings, Gladys Hernandez, Richard "Dickie" Young and Harriett.
He is survived by: his former wife Linda Wewel; his daughters, Brenda Sue and Dawn Angela; his wife Lana Nelson; his children, Mignette Mae, Ronnie Russell, Micayla Jean, Brenda Lammers (Mike) of Lake Tapps, WA, Dawn Young of Lake Stevens, WA, Mignette Young-Smith (Scott) of Moville, IA, Ronnie Young of Springfield, SD and Micayla Young; his grandchildren, Trenton (Abbey), Rance (Jess), Colton, Christopher, Kelsey, Takoda, Evelyn, Chloe and Preston; his great grandchildren, Trevor, Robert, Kensli and Rudolph; his siblings, Vic Young (Cherlynn), Laura Pickinpaugh, Norma Fiesta (Ernie), Bill Young (Theresa) and Mary Lou Hasenaur (Chris); and his uncle Lloyd "Sunny" Alderman. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, extended family, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Union Gospel Mission of Sioux Falls, SD.
