He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle Walter and Ethel Walter (Hendershott); his stepmother Alice; his brothers, Vernon, Donnie and David; and his son-in-law Kurt Hill.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Steenson of Aberdeen; his children, Kim Jones (Mike) of Carterville, GA, Mark (Barb), Scott (Vicki), Pam Geppert (Kent) and Dani Bolte (Lance Danielson); and his siblings-in-law, Jean Walter, Jim Steenson (Ruth) of Vail, AZ and John Trojohn. He is also survived by five children.
