She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Simon and Lucille Simon (Voorhes) of Lebanon, SD.; her niece Janine Van Well; and her father-in-law Dennis Jost. She is survived by: her former spouse Brooke Bieber of Onida; her daughter Kelsey Janine of Olathe, KS; her husband Tyler Jost of Agar; her siblings, Patti Arbach, Peg Hageman (Jerry), Janet Simon (Tim Job), John Simon (Cindy) and Jim Simon (Becky); her mother-in-law Sola Jost; her brothers, Tim Jost, Tamie Brandt, Mick Jost and Marti Arbach (Kurt); and her friends, Jackie Hansen, Brandy Cole, Kristi Hansen and Dawn Hinckley. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, coworkers, classmates and friends.
In May of 2020, while the Covid-19 pandemic was at its height, Jennifer embraced sobriety.
