He was predeceased by: his parents, Kelton Pennel and Lulu Pennel; his siblings, Warren Pennel, Robert Pennel, Glen Pennel, Joanne Pennel (Dorothy Parsons) and Erma Kreutzer; his daughter-in-law Connie Pennel; his grandson Joshua Lamb; and his great grandchild Isabella Sue Pennel.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy of Custer; his children, Thomas Pennel, Gerald Pennel, Margaret Gant and Susan Lamb; and his sisters, Lois Halley (Keystone) and Letah Sauer. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
