We are sad to announce that on January 8, 2021, at the age of 95, Mercedes Freyberg of Brookings, South Dakota, born in Volga, South Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Cora Sneve; her husband Carl Freyberg; her stepdaughter Kathy Medrano; her son Vaughan Pederson; her father Bill Sneve; and her brother Stanton Sneve.
She is survived by: her former spouse Ervine Pederson; her children, Paulette Terveen (Lyle) of Sioux Falls, SD and Shawn Pederson of Appleton, WI; her stepchildren, Wayne Freyberg (Teressa) of Brookings, SD and Carolyn Wakeman (James) of Brookings, SD; her granddaughters, Heather Swanson (Ryan) and Lindsay Logterman (Jesse); and her great grandchildren, Cadence Swanson, Brooklyn Swanson and Owen Logterman. She is also survived by 15 step-grandchildren, and 21 step-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Feeding South Dakota and The Sioux Falls Humane Society.
