We are sad to announce that on June 16, 2021, at the age of 96, John S. Wangberg of Brookings, South Dakota, born in Egan, South Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Johannes M. Wangberg and Astrid Wangberg (Myrseth). He is survived by: his wife Grace Halvorson of Sinai; his children, Michael (Deborah Linder), Timothy (Diana Fredrickson) and Silvana Smith (Wangberg); his grandchildren, Dena Mahoney (Ryan), Galen Wangberg, Christina Wangberg, Julie Wangberg and Karissa Menard (Jared); his great grandchildren, Natalie Richert (Julie Wangberg), Leeland and Nolan Menard (Karissa Wangberg); his brother Albert; and his sisters-in-law, Carol Schiesser and Vi Wangberg.
He was followed shortly by Grace who moved into one of the apartments at ULC and visited him daily around the Covid experience.
