It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Blaine D. Grimlie of Brookings, South Dakota, who passed away on April 21, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hjalmer Grimlie and Alice Grimlie (Christianson); his brother Ernest; his brother-in-law Linden Nelson; and his great grandchild Sean Blom.
He is survived by: his daughter Sharleen Grimlie of Brookings; his siblings, D. D. Grimlie (Terry) of Kalispell, MT, Terry Grimlie (Ellen) of Sioux Falls, SD and Wanda Nelson of Garretson, SD; his grandchildren, LaMay Schumacher of Sioux Falls, SD, James Jurrens (Tasha) of Sioux Falls, SD and Coddy Jurrens (Deyatta) of Aurora, SD; his son-in-law Dave Jurrens (Nyla) of White, SD; and his close friend Myrtle Harvey of White, SD. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.
