He is survived by: his wife Janet McStravick; his daughter Tonya Hornback (Mike) of Volga; his granddaughters, Jessica Hoyer (Clark) of Colman, Rachael Feekes (Tim) of Watertown and Ashley Hallem of Dell Rapids; his great grandchildren, Jennilee Hoyer, Jayda Kenyon, Desirae Hallem, Harlie Auck, Carly Feekes, Hunter Horton, Callyn Hoyer, Ryker Horton, Camdyn Hoyer, Hayes Horton and Rowan Horton; his sisters, Raya Hansen (Henning) of Elkton and Roberta Willert (Gerry) of Hendricks; and his sister-in-law Ruth Doyle-Almerda (Frank) of Dorchester, MA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
