He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Edward Ransom and Nell Warwick Ransom Thomas; and his sister Barbara Jane Ransom. He is survived by: his wife Karen C. Ransom; his children, Hailey Avidon (Brandon) and Matthew Ransom; his grandson Jacob Randolph Avidon; and his brother Jim Ransom (Sandy). He is also survived by his nephew and nieces.
