He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Cooney and Margaret Cooney; his wife Kathy Cooney; and his grandson William Morton (Will). He is survived by: his children, Lori Akers (Paul), Tiffany Cooney Steele (Marques) and Mark A. Cooney (Morgan); his grandchildren, Mary Morton, Keirra Steele, Cameron Steele, Macie Morton, Mattie Steele, Bryson Steele, Benton Akers and Aulbree Cooney; and his siblings, Mike, Buddy, Jim, Linda, Marlene, Sharon, Gloria and Sheila.
