We are sad to announce that on February 1, 2022, Gene Douglas Johnson of York, South Carolina, born in Rock Hill, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Neal Stywalt Johnson and Jeanette Laning Johnson; his significant other Muriel Johnson; and his siblings, Jack Johnson, Charles Johnson, Shirley Pierce, Billie Ann Burton and Brenda Schumpert.
He is survived by: his children, Marc Johnson (Denise), Mathieu Johnson (Linda), Colleen Knight (Vann) and Katie Chappell (Dwayne); and his sisters, Janet Biddix, Phyllis Black (Robert) and Patsy Wilson (Curtis). He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
