He was predeceased by: his parents, Grant Junior Simmers and Marie Rebecca Sanders Simmers; his son Jason Edward Simmers; and his siblings, Jimmy Simmers, Rocky Simmers, Garold Simmers, Clifford Simmers and Midge Brown.
He is survived by: his daughter Sharon Simmers Norton (Richard); and his siblings, Danny Simmers (Eva), Pam "Pat" Hawkins and Beckee Garris. He is also survived by four grandchildren; and 2 greatgrandchildren.
