We are sad to announce that on June 24, 2022, at the age of 24, Allen James Hems (York, South Carolina), born in Rochester, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Thomas Allen of Ontario, NY, Doris Hems of Rochester, NY and Raymond Hems of Fairport, NY.. He is survived by: his parents, Murray Hems (Shiellee Adams) and Jean Allen-Woods (Bill Woods); his friend Chase Eichner; his siblings, Andrew Hems (Kayla Cox) of Rock Hill, SC, Megan Hems (Jeremy McNamara) of Deansboro, NY and Courtney Hems of Laurens, SC; his grandmother Sandra Allen of Ontario, NY; his nieces and nephews, Greyson Cox, Noah Furfaro, Cayson Cook, Caroline Cox, Abigail Hems and Emmy McNamara; and his friend Thomas Knapp of Walworth, NY. He is also survived by loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in remembrance of A.J. to either Make-A-Wish Foundation of Western New York or Wayne County Children's Cancer Fund of Sodus, NY.
