He is survived by: his wife Cathy Eckard Wells; his children, Robert Adkins Jr. (Vickie), Landon James Adkins and Robbie Teague (Glenn); his brother Jack Adkins; his grandchildren, Robert Andrew Adkins III (Tracy), Turner Matthew Adkins and David Andrew "Drew" Teague; and his great grandchildren, Payton Joan Adkins and Kyree Abercrombie.
