She was predeceased by: her parents, Jerry Parkins and Millie Manis Parkins; and her husband Melvin Lawson. She is survived by: her daughters, Tammy Purkiser of Woodruff, Lynn Prince of Enoree and Janice Grady of Springlake, N. C.. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
