She is survived by: her husband James Roy "Mutt" Thornton, Sr.; her children, Cathy, Kathryn Lynn Thompson (Bert) of Texas, Margaret Elizabeth "Libby" Sullivan of Spartanburg, Judie Gail Reid (Marty) of Rutherfordton, NC, Lori Suzanne Thornton, Rev. Charles "Chuck" Thornton (Libby) of Spartanburg and James Roy "Jamie" Thornton Jr.; and her brother Michael James Mabrey of Myrtle Beach. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; thirty four great grandchildren and eleven great-great grandchildren.
