He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Ashburn Fleming, Sr. and Myra Nell Bowman Fleming; his daughter Rhonda Fleming; and his brother Jerry Fleming. He is survived by: his children, Michael Fleming (Stacey) of Williamston and Vickie Fleming of Williamston; and his brother Lee Fleming of Hartwell, GA. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
