He was predeceased by: his wife Sarah Elizabeth Roberts Cummings; his parents, Charlie Lefus and Essie Ella Phillips Cummings; his son Charles Phillip Cummings; and his brother J. C. Cummings.
He is survived by: his children, Nancie J. Cummings of Miami, FL, Gary Michael Cummings of Honea Path and Ronald Steven Cummings of Myrtle Beach; his grandchildren, Casey Holliday, Lyn Weston and Elizabeth Beasley; his niece Faye Hopkins of Donalds; and his nephew James Carrol Cummings of Donalds. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
