She was predeceased by: her parents, Hollis Adams and Nora Faulkenberry Adams; her husband Max R. Ellis; and her siblings, Haskell Adams, Melvin Adams, Seymour Adams, Harold Adams, Avis Hudson, Alma Roberts, Helen Hagins and Fanny Blackmon.
She is survived by: her children, Roger Ellis (Janice) of Heath Springs, Maxine Catoe (Carl) of Fort Mill and Myron Ellis (Pamela) of Heath Springs; and her grandchildren, Heather Holden (James), Adrian Ellis, Matthew Ellis, Mark Catoe (Sandy), Carla Santos, Sarah Ellis and Samuel Ellis.
