We bid farewell to Carolyn Marchant of Walterboro, South Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 24, 2024 at the age of 80. Carolyn touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her husband Roland Marchant; her parents, Benjamin Leo Ricketson and Essie Mae Smoak Ricketson; and her siblings, Jake Ricketson, Bennie Tapley and Marion Marchant.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sherry Marchant Gilbert (Josh) of Spokane, Kristy Marchant Dryden (Wayne) of Walterboro, Stacy Marchant Kloppel (Kenric) of Walterboro and Malia Carol Marchant (Steve) of Walterboro; her siblings, Charlie Ricketson (Beth) of Walterboro, Shirley Newcomb of Walterboro and Rosie Soderlund of Goose Creek; and her siblings-in-law, Reverend Joe Marchant and Jewel Ricketson. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
