It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hazel Gillespie (Sunset, South Carolina), who passed away on May 17, 2019, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Reece and Zelfie Reece; and her siblings, Riley Reece, Bud Reece, Mildred Gillespie, Rubyneal Gillespie, Maddy Ruth Raines, Doris Mauldin and Ravie McCall.

She is survived by: her children, Dean Evatt (Wanda), John Evatt (Pat), Larry Evatt, Leonard Bowie (Kathy), Henry Bowie (Marie), Harold Bowie, Allen Bowie (Vickie), Stanley "Tojo" Bowie, Lorene Gillespie (Waymon), Audrey Alexander (Wayne) and Vicki Taylor; and her siblings, E. R. Reece, Earl Reece and Lucille Elrod (Tommy). She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, fifty nine great-grandchildren, and thirty four great-great-grandchildren.
