It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Laura Chaffin of Santee, South Carolina, born in Proctorville, Ohio, who passed away on September 29, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Hamlin and Carrie Kerr Hamlin; her former husband Jesse Nance; and her daughter Brenda Midkiff. She is survived by: her husband James L. Chaffin; her children, Robin Shultis (Peter), Richard Nance, Sharon Chaffin and Marlene Gruetter (Carl); her son-in-law Russell Midkiff; and her nieces, Jessica Kimble (Eli) and Amber Midkiff. She is also survived by five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
