It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Edward Wirtz of Saint George, South Carolina, born in McDonald, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 7, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Earl Sr. and Mary Blissell Wirtz; and his brother John Earl Wirtz Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Wirtz (Moore); his siblings, Sarah Mullins (Jerry) of McDonald, PA, James Wirtz (Ruth) of Moon Township, PA, Katherine Dranikoski (George) of Canonsburg, PA, Rose Wirtz (Linda Fuller) of Grafton, WV and Mary Jo Poling (Weldon) of Columbus, NC; and his sister-in-law Linda Wirtz. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
When COVID hit, David and Sharon opted to make their home a little piece of paradise, but most of all, they cherished each other and made each other very happy.
