He was predeceased by: his parents, William Alexander Henson, Sr. and Zora Donahue Henson; his wife Lucille Lawings Henson; and his siblings, Pauline Genobles, Ruth M. Buchanan, Ruby Medlin, Vinnie Henson, Ethel Hughes and Bobby Henson.
He is survived by: his daughter Patty Groothedde of Spartanburg, SC; his sister Myrtle Guy of Boiling Springs, SC; and his grandchildren, Yvonne Harrison (Darrell) and Chris Groothedde (Heather). He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
