He was predeceased by: his wife Pamela Kay Sexton Shirley; and his parents, John Shirley and Mildred Jenkins Shirley. He is survived by: his sons, Sean Shirley (Courtney) of Spartanburg, SC and Chris Shirley (Kosha) of Spartanburg, SC. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
