She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Newell and Louise Pigate Poston; her husband Broadus Milton Steadings (Jack); and her son Benjamin Milton Steadings. She is survived by: her children, Stephen Wayne Steadings (Cynthia) of Seneca, Melinda Steadings Mabry (Ozzie) of Pauline, Kimberly Steadings Ledford (Dean) of Roebuck and Joy Steadings Harakas (Tim) of Spartanburg; and her sisters, Charlotte Pruitt, Kathy Wilson and Glenda Sparnell. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
