He was predeceased by: his parents, W. N. Kirkland and Floroy H. Kirkland; his siblings, Gaile K. Howard, Loyd Allen Kirkland and Don H. Kirkland; his son Craig W. Kirkland; and his grandson Bradley Kirkland.
He is survived by: his wife Bobbie Jean Gregory Kirkland; his sons, Mike Kirkland (Cathy) of Moore, SC and Mark Kirkland (Tonya) of Roebuck, SC; his daughter-in-law Jennifer Kirkland of Moore, SC; his grandchildren, Chris Kirkland (Tracy), Ashley Hall (Jason), Matthew Kirkland (Dana), Michelle Garratt, Stephen Kirkland, Haleigh Kirkland and Melissa Kirkland; his great grandchildren, Jake Hall, Reagan, Harper, Paisley Garrett, Ryleigh, Cole, Delanie and Levi Kirkland; and his siblings, Wihelmina K. Miller of Florence, SC, Lynda K. Horton of Mableton, GA and Gary P. Kirkland (Joyce Ann) of Roebuck, SC. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
