He is survived by: his wife Janice Ruth Cherry Jones; his sons, Willie (Tarnell) and Courtney (Natassia); his grandchildren, Michael, Devin, Jalyn, Casey and Cameron; his great grandchild Christian; his siblings, Lovett Jr., Edward Louis (Rosa Lee), Maceo (Doshia) and Catherine; and his siblings-in-law, Frankie Cherry of Charlotte, NC, Melvin Cherry (Joyce) of Rock Hill, SC, Gurdine Mackey, Barbara Kennedy (Sandy), Zelda Brown and Eliza Cherry. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
