It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley M. Hargett of Rock Hill, South Carolina, born in Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on January 25, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Victor Quinn McCarter and Zula Helms McCarter; and her husband Paul Ronald Hargett, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Debra Hargett Deas (Robert), Paul Ronald Hargett, Jr. (Katherine), Shannon Michelle Hargett and Kelly Hargett Hudson (Rob); her grandchildren, April Deas Jewett (John), Amanda Deas Reese (Greg), Laurens Elliott Hargett, Anna Hargett Grosschmidt (Zak), Grant Hudson and Mabry Hudson; her great grandchildren, McKenzie Jewett, Rachel Jewett, Clara Reese, Annie Reese, James Reese, Andrew Grosschmidt and Davis Grosschmidt; and her sister Donna McCarter Poteat (Steve). She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces.
