She was predeceased by: her parents, Quillie Rhode and Lula Bernice Hill Rhode; her husband Charles Alexander "Alec" Flenniken Sr.; and her brother Charles Monroe Rhode. She is survived by: her children, Charles Alexander Flenniken Jr. and Peggy Rowley; her close friend Leonard Starnes (Jane); and her granddaughters, Diane Marion and Linda Rippy.
