He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Van Buren and Biddie Gladden Barrett. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Payne Barrett; his children, Jeff Barrett of Rock Hill, SC and Beth Barrett Kane (Rob) of Myrtle Beach, SC.; his grandchildren, Kala Barrett of Charleston, SC, Anissa O'Brien, Olivia O'Brien, Myrtle Beach and Sadie Kane; and his sister Rita Barrett Lawing (Doug).
