She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Luther Reel and Osie Long Reel; her husbands, Roy Deese and John F Elkins, Sr.; her daughters, Mary Morgan, Helen Hubbards and Marie Roland; and her siblings, Arlan Reel, Rev. O. B. Reel, Skid Reel, P. J. Reel, Alvin Reel, Azzle Beacham, Roberta Caldwell, Josephine Barns and Glenda Ellis.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Deese, Frank Elkins, Edward Elkins, Tom Elkins, Judy Parker, Louise Hubbard, Susan Boatwright and Robin Turbeville; and her siblings, William Reel and Carolyn Parker. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
