He was predeceased by: his parents, Lemuel Gainey and Midora Wisher Gainey. He is survived by: his wife Linda Ramsey Gainey; his sons, Jody D. Gainey (Beth) of Rock Hill and Jacob Noonan Gainey (Allison) of Clover, SC; his sisters, Judith G. Oates of Rock Hill, SC and Brenda G Vargos (Jim) of Rock Hill, SC; his grandchildren, Logan Gainey, Brisen and Lauren Gainey; and his siblings-in-law, Rick Ramsey (Becky) and Tammy Brown (Rick).
All COVID-19 protocols calls and social distancing enforced. Burial will be private.
