He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Taplin Walden and Eva Lipe Walden; his son Shane English; his siblings, Bo Walden, Kenny Walden and Janice Paquett; and his brothers-in-law, Charlie Hayes, Allen Marlin and Ron Paquett.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Walden; his children, Lynn Walden, John David Walden (Kayla), Michael English (Erin), Jason English and Susie Walden (Randy); his sisters, Delaine Robertson (Tom), Debra Hayes and Barbara Marlin; and his friends, Mark and Christine Smith. He is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren.
