She was predeceased by: her parents, Anderson Garvin and Mary Crome Garvin; her husband Nathaniel Curry; her brother Clenzo Crome; her daughters, Betty Mitchell and Mamie Garvin; and her grandchildren, Tonelle Garvin and Chiquita McDowell.
She is survived by: her aunt Geneva Crome; her children, Walter Garvin of York, John Barnette of York and Annis McDowell of York, SC; her grandchildren, Orien Adams, Nikki Buie, Nioka Stuard, Aterra Garvin, Shanice Garvin, Kahbron Garvin and Desiree Garvin; her great grandchildren, Trevor Garvin, De'Shai Stuard, De'Jhoria Smith, Tavarus Garvin, Jaiquavious Garvin, Kabrea Garvin and Devin Adams; and her great great grandchildren, Emiyah, ZaKhiria, NiYanna and Ja'Cayla. She is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
