He was predeceased by: his parents, Loy Lewis Long and Genevieve Ridout Long. He is survived by: his wife Genevieve Ridout Long; his children, Rick Long (Cathy) of Savannah, GA and Maggie McGill (Stephen) of Rock Hill; his sisters, Joan Holmes (Steve) of New Market, NH and Carol Steele (Paul) of Concord, MA; and his grandchildren, Bryan McGill (Denise), Meg McGill (Katrin), Jordan Long (Alana), Caitlin Long, Nora McGill, Addison Long and Marshall Long.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Dr. Long's name to The Episcopal Church of Our Saviour, 144 Caldwell Street, Rock Hill, SC 29730.
