He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Canty and Ella Sanders Canty. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Lee Carver Canty; his children, Michael Richardson, Charles Richardson and Tammy Mackey; and his sisters, Rosemary Roberts, Elaine Cherry, Ollie Thomas, Jane McGinnis, Louise Shirah, Olene "Fern" Lambiasi and Ella R. Campbell. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
