He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Liston Smith and Dovie Marie Reevis Smith; and his wife Margaret Ann Ashley Smith. He is survived by: his daughters, Deborah Marie Smith-Cannon (Michael) of Catawba, S. C. and Billie J. Smith Haney (Michael) of Rock Hill; and his grandchildren, John Michael Haney and Kenzie Ann Marie Haney.
He did not die of the COVID virus.
