He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Gourdine and Mariah Gourdine (Grant); his daughters, Gwendolyn King, Barbara Bryant, Betty Smith, Earnestine Glover (Sam) and Annette Caldwell; his pets, Trasie and Tee Tee; and his siblings, Alice, Mary Ellen, Elizabeth, Willie Mae, James, Johnny, Jr., Abraham and Silas.
He is survived by: his spouse Elvenia Cleveland; his son Earnest Theron Gourdine; his grandchildren, John King, Jr. (Tasha), Janee Covin, Shaneice, Ashia Murdock (Jamal), Lawrence Dingle (Christina), Alethea Dixon (Freddie), Gabriel Bryant (Tashyrah), DeAndrya Smith, D'Shawn Smith, Nick Murphy and Trenee'; his siblings, Albertha Prioleau (George) of St. Stephen, SC, Minister Earline Rivers (Moses) of Moncks Corner, SC and Paul Gourdine of Pineville, SC; and his siblings-in-law, Robert Queen, Rosa Gourdine and Mardean Gourdine. He is also survived by great-grands, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
