She was predeceased by: her husband James Arthur Evatt; her parents, Robert Lee and Nancy Abigail Anders Monroe; her children, Debra Jean Evatt and Stephen Brian Evatt; her siblings, Ruth Locke, Betty Owens, Glen, Marvin and Nurell Monroe; and her granddaughter Jamie Leigh Evatt.

She is survived by: her sons, James Evatt (Rita) of Williamston and Mike Evatt (Helene) of Piedmont. She is also survived by six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
