She was predeceased by: her parents, John Lawrence Ayers and Carrie Byerly Ayers; her husband Ira L Pittman, Sr.; and her siblings, John, Bobby, Billy, Pete, Betty, Kathleen, Ruby, Ruth, Racheal and Lucianne.
She is survived by: her children, Ira Lewis Pittman, Jr. of Rock Hill, James Lawrence Pittman of Rock Hill, Edward Lee Pittman (Brooke) of Rock Hill, Rebecca P Herring (Les) of Rock Hill and Karen Denise Teel (Douglas) of Rock Hill. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Fay Pittman's name to York County YMCA Senior Adult Programs, 402 Charlotte Avenue, Rock Hill.
