He was predeceased by: his parents, Thaddeus Snyder and Lou Ellen Waltkins Harris; his grandson Bradley Snyder; and his siblings, Bill Snyder, Genes Harris and Jane Hoxit.

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Snyder; his children, Wilburn Snyder of Pickens and Joyce Ryder of Pickens; his grandchildren, Brian Snyder, Brandon Snyder, Allison Snyder, Jammie Johnson, Jessica Sutherland and Jonathan Leslie; and his sisters, Dessie, Charlotte Sullivan and Nancy McCarley. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
