It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn J. Simmons Ross of Pickens, South Carolina, who passed away on January 3, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold E. Simmons and Margaret Leecie Owens Simmons; her brother Gary Harold Simmons; and her son Jason Roy Ross. She is survived by: her husband Roy A. Ross; her children, Angela Dalton (Spencer) of Easley, Shana Dalton (Jason) of Easley and Alex Simmons (Stacy) of Pickens; her grandchildren, Storie Welborn (Cliff), Joey Dalton, Chloe Dalton, Kinsley Simmons, Audrey Kate Simmons and Baylee Welborn; her great grandchildren, Braylon and Braxton Edwards; and her close friend Carolyn H. Gravely of Pickens. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
