He was predeceased by: his wife Emma "Polly" Lois Wilkes Jones; his parents, Ernest Jones and Alberta Bruce Jones; his stepmother Isolena Jones; his sons, Donnie Ray Jones and Carl Douglas Jones; his grandson Michael Jones "Mike"; and his siblings, Willie Jones, Melvin Jones, Nathaniel Jones, Billie Bruce, Mamie Sue Patterson, Annie Lois Jones and Flora Corner.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara Lois Williams (Kevin), James Jones "Clayton", Robert Jones "Robbie" and Harvey Jones, Sr.; and his siblings, Robert Jones, Sr., William Jones, Lula J. Crawley, Dessie Johnson and Mary Watt. He is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren, forty-eight great-grandchildren, and twenty-five great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and close friends.
